- DI has some great activities and resources to help you build a successful creative problem-solving team. They will help you to guide, grow and celebrate your team’s progress as they work together in practicing Instant Challenges, in choosing their Side Trips, and in creatively solving their Central Challenge.
- CPS version 6.1™: This is DI’s adopted model of Creative Problem Solving. Its framework helps your team as they apply creative problem-solving tools in their approach and work with Instant Challenges and their chosen Team Challenge. Use the model to navigate through:
• Understanding the Challenge
• Generating Options
• Planning for Action
• ... while Appraising Tasks along the way.
This takes your team from their wishes and hopes to their best possible solution!
- Do Side Trip Inventory, talk about the team’s collective and individual strengths
- At the end of each meeting, debrief. Ask your team:
• Where are we?
• Are we on track?
• Do we want to keep moving in this direction?
• Do we want to change our goal?
• Most importantly, Are we having fun?
